AI-Assisted Disability Claims Modernization
UI/UX designer and future-state strategy for an active modernization effort that introduces AI-driven document analysis into a legacy disability claims workflow. The system surfaces recommended disability ratings with sourced justifications, streamlines claim return routing, and tracks correspondence in transit — replacing a fragmented, high-friction process with a unified, adjudicator-friendly interface.

Claims Correspondence Tracking Widget
Designed a net-new dashboard widget for an active modernization effort that gives adjudicators their first unified view of outbound letter packet statuses — replacing a manual, fragmented status-checking process with a real-time correspondence tracker surfacing what's in transit, needs action, failed to deliver, or is awaiting finalization. Designed as a focused, scannable component that fits naturally into an existing claims workflow.

Automated Claim Return & Routing System
Leading UI/UX design for an active modernization effort replacing a slow, manual claim return process. The existing system required workers to re-enter significant amounts of information for returns they received no credit toward — creating friction and lost productivity. The redesigned system automatically routes claims back to the last assigned worker, surfaces exactly what is missing and why, and provides a clear queue of returns assigned to each user — reducing processing time and eliminating the burden of redundant data entry.

My approach to design is rooted in curiosity — the same curiosity that pulls me into the kitchen to experiment, into nature to recharge, and down whatever trail my dog decides is worth sniffing. I'm drawn to problems worth solving and I design the way I do most things with my hands: with focus, intention, and a lot of care for how it all comes together.
